I have come to the conclusion that long swims are bad for my health. No, I haven’t overlooked the obvious benefits such as improved cardiovascular health, increased lung capacity and other related benefits. These still hold true. I’m talking about my health over the next 6-12 months.
During tonight’s run I decided to try my alternate pair of Netwon’s without socks. At first I thought there were no issues, but by a mile into the run I had blisters on both feet, I could barely walk, and my shoes were starting to look like victims of a massacre. Being out running with this crowd: everyone from first-timers to Olympians is one of the best ways to kick off the start of the season.
